Moroccan cookies -“Reif”

  • 4 c flour

  • ¾ c oil

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract 

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 3/4 cup beer 

  • 1/4 cup water

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 3 tbsp fennel seeds 

  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds 

  1. Mix all the ingredients but the flour. 

  2. Add 3 ½ c flour and mix. Dough should be soft but not sticky. Add as much more as necessary. 

  3. Roll out and cut into strips or squares. 

  4. Bake for 25 minutes (380°)
