Turkey and curried cauliflower “Ktzitzot” (patties):

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium size cauliflower, cut into florets

1 large- size onion, chopped

3 garlic cloves, crushed

⅓ cup parsley leaves, washed and chopped

2 tbsp.olive oil

½ tsp. cinnamon 

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. cumin

2 tsp. salt

½  tsp. black pepper

½ tsp. turmeric

1 tbsp. Hwaywj or curry powder

⅛ tsp. baking powder

Olive oil for frying

  1. Cook the cauliflower in hot boiling and salted water till it’s tender but not too soft (about 10 minutes). Drain. Using a masher, mash the cauliflower, leaving some chunks.

  2. In the meantime,heat the 2 tbsp. Oil and saute the onion for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and fry for one more minute. Add the spices and the cauliflower. Fry for 5 more minutes. Remove from the heat. 

  3. In a bowl, mix the meat with the cauliflower, the baking powder and  the parsley. Form patties.

They are delicious in a sandwich or in a sauce of sautéed onions, pumpkin slices, some baharat, cinnamon and 3/4 chicken stalk. Summer for 20 minutes and serve with rice or with bulgur.
