Crescent cookies with rose Turkish delight

My mom used to make them and my sister continues the tradition and now it’s my turn to do so 

  • 3 ¼ cups all- purpose flour

  • ½ cup sugar

  • A pinch of salt 

  • 2 egg yolks

  • ½ cup orange juice 

  • 7 oz. “Smart balance” butter 

  • Turkish delight cubes, sliced into thin slices 

  • Powdered sugar for dusting 

  1. Preheat oven (365°)

  2. Place all of  the ingredients of the dough  in a mixer bowl and mix till a dough form. 

  3. Divide the dough into 4 balls

  4. Roll out each bal into a circle. 

  5. Cut into triangles and put a slice of Turkish delight on the wide part of each triangle. 

  6. Start rolling from the wide part all the way to the point. Place in a lined baking tray. 

  7. Bake for 20 minutes till fully baked. They are not supposed to brown. 

  8. Dust with powdered sugar
