Lamb or beef kebab on cinnamon sticks

1 lb. ground lamb or beef or a mix of both

1 big onion, chopped 

4 garlic cloves, crushed 

Pinch of cinnamon 

½ cup parsley leaves, chopped 

1 tsp. Olive oil 

⅛ tsp. baking powder 

1-1.5 tsp. Salt 

1tsp. black pepper 

1 tbsp. baharat 

Cinnamon sticks 

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté ½ of the onion till soft. Transfer to a bowl. 

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead well for 5 minutes. 

  3. Take a cinnamon stick and about 3-4 tbsp. of the mixture. 

  4. Form an oval patty around it.

  5. Grill for 10-15 minutes (only till it’s not raw but not over cooked). Serve with tahini and pita bread.
