Hwayej salmon skewers

  • 15 salmon cubes

  • 1 tsp. Paprika

  • 2 tbsp. hawayej spice mix 

  • ½ tsp.cumin

  • ¼ tsp. cardamom

  • ¼ tsp turmeric

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil

  1.  Mix all of the ingredients.

  2. Rub the fish with the mix and put the fish on skewers. 

  3. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

  4. Grill for or roast in the oven for 15 minutes(400 degrees) Top with the tomato salsa. 

For the charred tomato salsa:

  • 2 ripe tomatoes

  • 1 chili pepper

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • ¼ c. chopped parsley

  • 2 tbsp. Lemon juice

  • 3/4 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

  1. Broil the tomatoes and the chili pepper on high.

  2. Chop the tomatoes and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix and fix seasoning.
